The Aarhus Airport, code AAR, is a public airport that serves the town of Tirstrup, Denmark and is several miles away from Aarhus. Aarhus Lufthavn operates the airport. It has two asphalt and concrete runways at lengths between 8 – 9,000 feet long. The airport itself is relatively small and as of 2013, carried only 459,913 passengers. Nonetheless, it still offers quaint and homey amenities, including a garden where guests can relax before their flights. Aarhus Airport is surrounded by several Danish cities, including Easterby, Farvang, Grenna, Horning, Egaa, Ajstrup, and the Favrskov Municipality.
