Belem Cultural Center in Lisbon, Portugal is the biggest complex of cultural facilities in the country. Inaugurated in 1952, it has a Conference Centre suitable for conferences and meetings. This facility also houses its bars, operational services, parking areas, restaurant, and stores. The Exhibition Centre has 4 galleries for exhibits of architecture, design, modern art, and photography. This facility also has some cafes and shops. Then, there is the Performing Arts Centre, which is the heart of the artistic and cultural activities in the complex. This has 2 auditoriums and a rehearsal hall. 

There are many fun things to do in the area, such as visiting Tejo Power Station. Mainly, it is a cultural hub presenting the evolution of energy through the Museum of Science and Industrial Archaeology. Inaugurated as a museum in 1990, it also hosts concerts, conferences, temporary exhibits, among others. Another interesting, nearby site to visit is Castle of Alenquer in Alenquer. It is a medieval castle established in 1160. Today, only its northwest perimeter exists. Tourists should also visit Mafra National Palace or Palace-Convent of Mafra or Royal Building of Mafra in Mafra. It is a palace-monastery with Baroque and neoclassical architectural style. Established in the 18th century, it was declared a National Monument in 1910 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2019.
