The DeKalb–Peachtree Airport or more commonly called as PDK is the second busiest airport in Georgia and the seventh in terms of general aviation airport in the country. It is a county-owned, public-use airport located in Chamblee, northeast of Atlanta. Categorized as a reliever airport, PDK is designated to provide relief or additional capacity to an area when the primary commercial airport gets too congested. It started operating as Naval Air Station Atlanta on March 22, 1941.
