It is founded as Rochester Municipal Airport 1982 by the Mayo Foundation to serve as patients from the Mayo Clinic and still the hub of Mayo Clinic MedAir. Rochester International Airport is set for renovation this 2019, for it has already received the $3.3 million grant for the runway reconstruction and jet bridge project.
