Spectrum Center is home to NBA's Charlotte Hornets. It seats more than 19,000 people and is located in uptown Charlotte, North Carolina. The arena had three name changes since it opened in October 2005. It was originally Charlotte Bobcats Arena until Time Warner purchased its naming rights and named it Time Warner Cable Arena. The name was changed in 2016 as Spectrum Center and has carried on since. Notable events hosted in the indoor arena are the Democratic National Convention in 2012, the Kellog's Tour of Gymnastic Champions in 2016, and the NBA All-star Game in 2017.
