The Manchester Arndale, or most popularly known as the Arndale Centre, is one of the largest shopping centers in the UK with the developer of the same name. This shopping center is located in Manchester. The center is constructed between 1972 and 1979 with a cost of about £100 million. Arndale Center has already experienced the destruction caused by the Manchester bombing in 1996. The center was recovered and redeveloped in January 2006. In September 2006, the final phase of the northern extension was opened, featuring the new Winter Garden, a Waterstone's bakeshop and a new unit for the market. In 2010, Arndale Centre launched the largest Office Shoe store and largest glass store frontage called the Next Store and finally in 2015, Arndale Centre took initiative to create a fundraising activity for their chosen charity for one whole year.
