Harry Ransom Center in Austin, Texas is an archive, library, and museum focused on the collection of cultural and literary artifacts from Europe, South America, and the US. Established in 1957, its main objective is to advance and promote the study of humanities. It is home to 36 million literary manuscripts, 5 million photos, a million rare books, and over 100,000 pieces of artwork. Also, it has a number of galleries featuring rotating exhibits.
