Nepalgunj Airport - KEP

Established in 1961, the Nepalgunj Airport is a public airport that serves the sub-metropolitan city of Nepalgunj, Nepal. It is the third largest airport in Nepal based on land area and it has the second most aircraft and passenger movements. Various domestic airlines have daily flights to KEP including Nepal Airlines, Buddha Air, Saurya Airlines, Shree Airlines, Sita Air, Summit Air, Tara Air, and Yeti Airlines. While passengers fly from Nepalguni to various parts of the country, the most popular destination from this airport is Kathmandu, Nepal. The airport is operated by the Nepalese government.

When the FK-100 jet aircraft was introduced, the passenger movement soared by 13.39% from 2004 to 2005.In 2016, passenger numbers reached 233,533. The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal are already planning to upgrade the Nepalgunj Airport to become an international airport with facilities for immigration, customs, and quarantine.
