Gran Canaria Airport, also known as Gando Airport is a freight and commercial airport located in Las Palmas, Spain on the island of Gran Canaria. It is considered to be one of the most significant airports within the air-transport network in the country. LPA-Gran Canaria currently holds the sixth spot for being the busiest airport in terms of passenger traffic and the fifth busiest for freight and cargo services. Several tourist attractions are located south of the airport within a 41 miles radius from the terminal.

LPA-Gran Canaria serves as one of the most important hubs for passengers heading to Morroco, Mauritiana, Senegal, Cape Verde and other regions in West Africa. Charter flights to Gambia and Cape Verde are also available through TUI fly Nordic and TUI Deutschland during wintertime. There is only one terminal in the airport that was later extended to accommodate the increase in passenger traffic in the region.
