Located on the western side of island of North Ronaldsay in the Orkney Islands, is the North Ronaldsay Airport. It can be found 28 nautical miles northeast by north of Kirkwall, Orkney Islands, Scotland. It is a regional airport permitted to operate flights for public transport of passengers as well as for flying instruction. It is authorized only for daytime use. Built in 1934, its air service started in 1968. The airport is run by Orkney Islands Council and bears the International Air Transport Association (IATA) NRL.
