Schenectady County Airport – SCH Schenectady, NY, United States
The Schenectady County Airport is a county-owned and public-use air facility founded in 1927. Bearing the geocode SCH, it is located three nautical miles north of the central business district of Schenectady, New York. It is included in the Federal Aviation Authority’s 2011–2015plan as a reliever airport or a specialized airport that provides pilots with alternatives to using congested hub airports as well as offer general aviation access to the surrounding area. SCH Airport is home to the Stratton Air National Guard Base, the 109th Airlift Wing of the New York Air National Guard and some private aircraft.
