Schermerhorn Symphony Center, Nashville, Tennessee, United States of America

Located in in Nashville, Tennessee, the Schermerhorn Symphony Center is named after Kenneth Schermerhorn, was inaugurated in 2006. It houses Laura Turner Concert Hall, which has a seating capacity of 1,844. The hall is the home of the Nashville Symphony. It is also renowned for its Mike Curb Family Music Education Hall, which is used for small performances. The hall serves as a venue for Music Education City, its own music education initiative. The center hosts various public and private functions regularly, thanks to its different interior spaces. It also has a public garden called “Martha Rivers Ingram Garden Courtyard”. 

There are a lot of fun things to do in the area, such as visiting Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum (MHOF). Inaugurated in 2006, it honors musicians of all genres and/or instruments. Exhibits include instruments owned and played by famous artists and even behind-the-scenes session musicians. Another interesting, nearby site to visit is Oaklands Historic House Museum. Included in the National Register of Historic Places in 1970, it is a historic house museum and plantation home. Tourists should also visit Radnor Lake State Nature Area or Radnor Lake State Park in nearby Oak Hill. It is a Class II State Natural Area, which means camping and picnicking is not permitted in the park. One of the best hotels in the area is Hyatt Place Nashville Downtown. Its own bar, Coffee to Cocktails Bar, serves cocktails, local beers, Starbucks coffee, and wines. Another renowned hotel in the area is the 4-star Renaissance Nashville Hotel.
