Vanua Lava Airport – SLH Sola

Vanua Lava Airport with code SLH is also known as Sola Airport. Sola, Vanuatu is within the island of Vanua Lava. The island is part of the Banks Island found in the Torba Province. The airport is the only air facility serving the island. The village is within the proximity of Mount Sere Ama. Both the rivers of Selva and Alket pass the northern area of the village. Vanua Lava is slightly bigger compared to the island of Gaua. Both islands have an airfield facility as a form of transportation.

Getting around the island is quite challenging because it has only one road network. There are no hotels within the area but only bungalow type of lodging. Mota Lava Gateway lounged is owned by a couple. It is found in the Nerenewman Village. This hotel facility has a conference room for meetings. This is the reason why this accommodation is appealing to both leisurely and business kind of travelers. Choose from a family house with its bathroom. There are also three bungalows with communal bathrooms.

Another airport serving the area is Gaua Airport (ZGU) but it is on the other island.
