Opened in 1946, Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre, also known as WWT Slimbridge, is a reserve and conservation center located at Slimbridge, Gloucesters, England. It is made up of 2,000 acres of reed bed, pasture, salt marsh and lagoon where many water birds dwell there throughout the year. Aside from having the world’s biggest collection of confined wildfowl, Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre is also takes an active research and very much involved in international projects on captive breeding. The Center has Sloane Observation Tower in the east that offer far-reaching views of the Cotswold escarpment, and the Forest of Dean located in the west.
